Hedgehogs is the airy space where our children, 26 months until after term of turning 3 years old, grow in confidence develop their communication and social skills and become more independent.

It’s a place where their imaginations can come alive, where inquisitive minds can discover new things and where they start to take responsibility for small tasks such as pouring their own drinks, watering plants, feeding pets and tidying up. There’s lots of messy play, role play and cooking, which is a firm favourite with the children.

We strive to make the transition between Hedgehogs and our pre-school, Squirrels as seamless as possible. We offer Cookery Club for children to enjoy, learn more about healthy eating as well as developing essential skills such as using equipment.

With boundless energy, this age group spend lots of time playing outside and are introduced to the joys of gardening – sowing seeds and tending vegetables. With an abundance of different activities to choose from there is never a dull moment in Hedgehogs.

In this age group your child will have a 'Progress Check at Two' which will work hand-in-hand with the review by your child's Health Visitor.
