Nursery Rooms
Space to have fun and learn through play and activity is so important in early years and at Woodlands Day Nursery we offer you five spacious purpose built nursery rooms, all at ground floor level, catering for babies to pre-school children.
Outside, we have created individual garden areas so each room has its own safe play space with suitable equipment for the children to enjoy all year round. And for the pre-school children we have our much loved pond and veggie patch (with secure fencing) where they can study pond-life and get involved with growing and tending our vegetables – and yes, we do use our garden produce in our kitchen!
Enjoyable extra activities – at no charge to you!
Your child’s well-being is of utmost important to all of the Woodlands team and we endeavour to go the extra mile to ensure that their time at Woodlands is stimulating, enjoyable and memorable. This is why every week we run FREE term time activities for children 28 months and over. We currently offer French lessons, Kindaroo or Debutots, on set days of the week and at no extra charge to you because we feel that it isn’t fair that some children get to take part and others don’t - so at our nursery every child (and Georgie the dog!) who attends nursery on the day of the activity has the opportunity to join in and have great fun.
Starting at Woodlands
When your child starts at Woodlands we can offer a home visit so that we can meet you in the home environment. We have found that this really helps your child to settle into nursery because they have the comfort of recognising a familiar and friendly face, and of course we can learn more about you too.
Throughout your child’s time at Woodlands, we document their development in their own book. It includes written details from their key worker along with photographs and activities they have undertaken. It shows you at a practical level how much they have developed at Woodlands and it’s also a lovely keep-sake to share with grandparents, family and friends.
